The L1 and Pro can not engrave on the glass directly, but you can use them to make a stencil and then apply glass etching cream in an indirect way. (see the original Facebook post by David)
Step 1: Mask off and paint with matt black nail varnish.
Step 2: LP1 100,100 x3 passes.
Step 3: Cover with Armour Etch cream for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Wash off with water and then nail varnish remover.
